Hollis, ME – A 34-year-old woman died in a rollover crash on Bar Mills Road on Tuesday afternoon.
Amber Bowie of Hollis was pronounced dead at the scene following the incident, which occurred shortly after 3 p.m. According to the Maine Department of Public Safety, her Kia Telluride left the roadway, entered a ditch, rolled over, and struck a tree.
Hollis Fire Rescue urged motorists to avoid Bar Mills Road (4A) as the area was closed for approximately 2.5 hours from Cape Road (117) to River Road for emergency response.
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation, authorities said. Details regarding confirmed injuries or additional vehicles involved have not been released.
