ADAIR COUNTY, Okla. (KOKH) — An Arkansas man died following a multi-vehicle crash on Hwy 51 in Adair County on Tuesday evening.
Emergency crews responded to the incident around 5:15 p.m. at the intersection with S. 4660 Rd. Authorities reported that 25-year-old Joshua Silvar, from Hot Springs, was riding a motorcycle in the westbound lanes when he attempted to pass another vehicle in a non-passing zone.
Silvar's motorcycle collided with a car traveling in the eastbound lane. Additionally, a westbound vehicle, trying to avoid the initial collision, struck Silvar's motorcycle.
Silvar was pronounced dead at the scene due to his injuries. The investigation is ongoing, and no additional information on other injuries or involved parties has been released.
