MOREHEAD CITY, N.C. — Hwy. 24 is closed in both directions Thursday morning due to a single-vehicle accident, authorities said.
The Morehead City Police Department issued a traffic advisory at approximately 4:50 a.m. on September 24, indicating that crews are clearing debris from the roadway.
Traffic is being diverted to Hwy. 70 as a result of the closure.
Officers from the Morehead City Police are stationed at the west entrance of Walmart to manage traffic, while Carteret County Sheriff's Office deputies are located at McCabe Road.
