9-Year-Old Girl Dies in Crash with Cybertruck on I-35 Service Road.

AUSTIN, Texas — A 9-year-old girl, Lilliana Segura, was killed in a two-vehicle crash on the I-35 service road in Southeast Austin on Wednesday morning.

The incident occurred around 7:41 a.m. at the intersection of the South I-35 northbound service road and the East State Highway 71 westbound service road, according to the Austin Police Department. The crash involved a Jeep Compass with a driver and two juvenile passengers, and a Cybertruck with a single driver.

Both juvenile passengers from the Jeep were transported to a hospital, where Segura was . The other child remains in critical condition. The drivers of both vehicles were also for treatment, police said.

Investigations revealed that the Jeep was traveling north on the I-35 service road while the was headed west on East Ben White Boulevard. Authorities are working to determine the cause of the collision, and both drivers are cooperating with the investigation. Police confirmed that neither driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.

This incident marks Austin's 56th crash of 2026.
