Oklahoma City, Okla. (KOKH) — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash on southbound I-235 that occurred Saturday night.
At approximately 7:30 p.m., a vehicle drove off the overpass and collided with a train below. Emergency responders quickly arrived on the scene, leading to significant traffic backups in the southbound lanes near downtown.
Authorities confirmed that one individual has died as a result of the incident. The investigation remains ongoing, and officials have not yet released additional details regarding the vehicle or specific circumstances surrounding the crash.
