BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — A semi-truck crash closed U.S. Highway 20 near Fairfield for approximately two and a half hours on Wednesday afternoon.
Idaho State Police reported the incident occurred on Sept. 2, 2026, at 12:18 p.m. near milepost 160. A 37-year-old man from Nampa was driving a 2014 Freightliner semi-truck westbound when the vehicle veered off the road onto the right shoulder. The driver overcorrected, reentered the road, and then tipped onto its driver's side.
The driver was transported by air ambulance to a local hospital, authorities said.
Emergency responders included the Camas County Sheriff's Office, Camas County Fire and EMS, Air St. Luke's, and the Idaho Transportation Department.
The crash remains under investigation.
