Fiery Crash Claims Life on San Antonio's North Side
SAN ANTONIO – A driver was killed in a fiery crash early Tuesday morning on West Bitters Road, near Blanco Road.
The incident occurred shortly after 2 a.m. when a white SUV, traveling at a high rate of speed, struck a curb and launched into the air after hitting an embankment. The vehicle crashed through a wooden fence, collided with several parked cars, and knocked down two covered parking structures before rolling onto its side and igniting.
Authorities reported the driver was found deceased inside the vehicle. No other injuries were confirmed at the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing, according to police.
