19-year-old killed in two-vehicle crash on Columbus' Far West Side, police say

A 19-year-old man died after a two-vehicle crash late Aug. 28 on Columbus' Far West Side, according to police.

At 11:09 p.m., a Civic heading west on Roberts Road turned left onto Potts Place and collided with an eastbound Durango on Roberts Road, according to a Columbus police news release.

Columbus Fire medics took Aaden Owen Elswick, 19, in critical condition to OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital, where he died, authorities said.

As of the morning of Aug. 29, investigators had not confirmed which vehicle Elswick was in or whether he was driving, police said. A Columbus Public Safety dispatcher told NBC4/WCMH-TV that three people were taken from the scene.
