Teen Airlifted to Hospital After ATV Crash in Northern Minnesota
Orr, MN — A 15-year-old boy was airlifted to the hospital following an ATV crash in Leiding Township on Tuesday at approximately 7:43 p.m., according to the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office.
First responders reported that the boy was the sole occupant of the ATV when it veered off the road and collided with trees, resulting in the loss of the vehicle's front wheel and ejecting the teen from the ATV.
Authorities indicated that excessive speed and the teen's inexperience likely contributed to the crash. The boy's name and current medical condition have not been disclosed.
The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office is conducting an ongoing investigation into the incident.
