Four teenagers were injured in a single-vehicle crash early Wednesday morning in Ralls County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), a 2017 Toyota Corolla was traveling north on Highway 61, just north of New London, at approximately 2 a.m.
The vehicle veered off the right side of the roadway, struck a guardrail, and overturned, coming to rest at the bottom of a steep embankment.
Injuries were reported for a 16-year-old driver and two 16-year-old passengers from Hannibal and Palmyra. One 16-year-old passenger from Quincy, Illinois, sustained serious injuries.
All four teenagers were transported to Hannibal Regional Hospital for medical treatment. MSHP confirmed that all individuals were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, with no further details available at this time.
