BROOKLYN — A chain-reaction crash involving five vehicles on the BQE at Kosciuszko Bridge left two people hospitalized and led to significant lane closures.
According to authorities, the incident occurred around 2:45 p.m. on the southbound side of the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway. Emergency medical teams transported two adults, ages 30 and 42, to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
New York Police Department and Fire Department personnel responded to the scene, directing traffic and assessing the damage. Towing services removed the vehicles, but lanes remained closed for over an hour.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing, with officials interviewing witnesses and reviewing surveillance footage. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
