Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Route 1 in South Kingstown
(South Kingstown, RI) — A man died following a motorcycle crash on Route 1 in South Kingstown on Tuesday night.
The South Kingstown Police Department responded at approximately 10:15 p.m. to the incident near Torrey Road. Upon arrival, they discovered the motorcyclist, identified as 28-year-old Michael D. Fletcher, had succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities reported that no other vehicles were involved in the crash, indicating Fletcher may have lost control of his motorcycle south of the Tower Hill Fire Station. Investigators believe speed was a contributing factor.
