LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A suspected impaired driver sustained life-threatening injuries in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning in the southeast valley.
The incident occurred at approximately 3:42 a.m. on South Eastern Avenue near East Eldorado Lane. Authorities stated the driver was traveling north when they failed to maintain their lane, striking the raised center median. The vehicle then crossed into the southbound lanes before colliding with the west curb of Eastern Avenue.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the car continued northbound along the west sidewalk of Eastern Avenue, hitting multiple water district boxes and a wooden power pole.
Emergency responders are currently on scene, and the crash is under investigation by LVMPD.
