TEXAS COUNTY, Okla. (KOKH) — A Texas man died in a single-vehicle rollover crash late Monday night in Texas County.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP), the incident occurred around 11:51 p.m. when 27-year-old Kaleb Shafer of Kilgore lost control of his vehicle while driving southbound on South Street Road at OK-136. The vehicle rolled multiple times, ejecting Shafer more than 100 feet from the vehicle.
Authorities confirmed that Shafer was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and that no other passengers were in the vehicle. An investigation is ongoing.
Emergency response teams arrived on the scene, but details regarding any lane closures or tows were not immediately available.
