CHARLESTON — City police reopened Highway 41 after a fatal crash closed the roadway for several hours on July 22.

At approximately 3 p.m. that day, a collision occurred at Highway 41 and Reflectance Drive, prompting a full closure of the highway in both directions.

Authorities reported that traffic remained blocked until about 8 p.m., when the roadway was eventually reopened. Reflectance Drive and Halfway Creed Road were reopened earlier, by 6:30 p.m., according to an announcement from the Charleston Police Department.
