COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — A fatal crash involving a semi and an SUV occurred early Tuesday morning on I-71 southbound near the Gemini Place ramp.
The incident took place just before 4:30 a.m. Emergency crews responded quickly, but the victim was pronounced dead approximately 15 minutes later. No additional injuries have been reported.
The southbound lanes of I-71 were partially closed for several hours as crews worked on cleanup and investigators worked to determine the cause of the collision. Authorities have not released the identity of the deceased.
