COLUMBUS, Ohio — A dirt bike rider was seriously injured late Thursday on the East Side after a crash involving a fleeing car.
According to police, the collision occurred at approximately 11:45 p.m. at South Grant Avenue and East Livingston Avenue.
Authorities said an adult on a red GasGas dirt bike was traveling southbound on South Grant Avenue as a silver car went westbound on East Livingston Avenue.
Police said both vehicles entered the intersection at the same time, and the rider lost control, left the south side of the roadway, and was ejected.
Medics transported the rider to a local hospital in critical condition; authorities said the rider was later upgraded to stable.
The driver of the silver car left the scene. The Accident Investigation Unit is investigating.
