Folsom Woman Killed in Car Crash in St. Tammany
A Folsom woman died in a car accident on LA Hwy 25 in St. Tammany Parish on Monday night.
Rachel Bitter, 39, was involved in a collision with a 2015 Ford van traveling south on LA Hwy 25 near Sweet Olive Lane. At around 9:00 p.m., the van crossed the centerline and struck the front left side of Bitter's vehicle.
Bitter sustained critical injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. The driver of the van sustained minor injuries but declined medical treatment at the scene.
The Louisiana State Police are conducting an ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash. Further details will be released as they become available.
