A man died in a car crash on Veterans Memorial Boulevard in Metairie early Sunday morning, according to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office.
Authorities reported that a white, two-door vehicle was traveling east on Veterans near Neyrey Drive around 6 a.m. when it struck multiple curbs before colliding with a tree in the median.
The driver sustained multiple injuries and later succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital. The Sheriff's Office has not released the man's identity, and toxicology results are pending.
