Driver Killed in Fiery Crash on I-93 in Ashland
ASHLAND, N.H. — A 21-year-old driver died in a crash on Interstate 93 early Sunday morning.
According to authorities, Ryan C. Berg of Bristol, New Hampshire, succumbed to smoke inhalation and thermal injury after his vehicle went off the right side of the road and caught fire around 2:45 a.m., approximately one mile north of Exit 24.
State police reported that Berg was driving southbound at the time of the incident. Emergency responders confirmed that he was found deceased at the scene, and there were no other occupants in the vehicle.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. No additional details have been released regarding the circumstances leading to the accident.
Authorities have not indicated any lane closures or further emergency responses related to the crash.
