HUDSON, N.H. — A Hudson man is being held without bail after allegedly brandishing a firearm in response to traffic caused by a serious car crash on Webster Street.

The incident occurred on Thursday at approximately 5:30 p.m., involving a collision between a passenger vehicle and a UPS truck. Witnesses from a nearby auto body shop reported seeing 38-year-old Eric Chadbourne becoming increasingly frustrated with the traffic blockage. When they attempted to calm him, they observed that he had a gun.

Witness Colby Jackson stated, “He said, ‘I just gotta get home,' but the situation required stopping.” He added that Chadbourne reached for the gun in his pocket despite being told not to.

Authorities indicated Chadbourne circumvented the crash site by driving over a lawn, nearly colliding with a retaining wall. Doorbell video captured the incident, revealing his truck's path across the property.

Witness Michael Bromley recalled hearing someone shout “Gun” and noted uncertainty about the weapon, initially believing it to be a cell phone.

Hudson Police Captain Patrick Broderick confirmed that Chadbourne was unhappy with the halted traffic and resorted to displaying a firearm. He faces multiple charges, including criminal threatening with a deadly weapon. The Hudson Police Department continues to investigate and is seeking any additional information related to the case.
