BRICK − A 97-year-old township man died after his sedan crossed the center line on Drum Point Road, colliding with an oncoming SUV, authorities said.
The incident occurred at the intersection with Johnson Road at approximately 7:15 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 28.
Emergency responders arrived on the scene, and the driver was pronounced dead shortly after. The SUV's occupants sustained injuries, though the extent remains unconfirmed.
Both vehicles were towed from the site, and police closed one lane of Drum Point Road for several hours while the scene was investigated.
The crash is under investigation, and authorities have not released further details about the victims' identities.
