LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Authorities are seeking information regarding a driver involved in a hit-and-run crash that resulted in the death of an 81-year-old woman on June 13, 2025.
Margaret Brown was struck while walking in a crosswalk at South Grand Canyon Drive and West Desert Inn Road, according to LVMPD Lt. Cody Fulwiler. The vehicle involved is identified as a dark-colored 2016-2019 Nissan Sentra, noted for missing its lower center grill.
Police have released surveillance footage showing the suspect vehicle. The investigation is ongoing, with LVMPD urging community members to assist in identifying the driver.
Margaret, affectionately known as Peg, had recently relocated to Las Vegas from Florida. Her brother, Joe Brown, expressed his regret over her tragic fate after convincing her to move to be closer to family following the loss of their older sister to COVID-19.
