EAST GREENWICH, R.I. (WJAR) — A motorcycle crash on Frenchtown Road Thursday evening claimed the life of an 80-year-old man.
According to police, officers responded to the scene at approximately 7:40 p.m. after receiving reports of an accident involving a motorcycle and a vehicle.
Authorities identified the motorcycle operator as William Eldred of North Kingstown. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation, police said. No additional injuries were reported.
As of now, no charges have been filed, and the investigation is active.
