LAS VEGAS, NV — July 11, 2026: A pedestrian has died following a crash on Sahara Avenue late Saturday night.
The victim, a 73-year-old woman from Los Angeles, was crossing Sahara Avenue near Van Patten Street around 9:44 p.m. when she was struck by a truck traveling eastbound, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. She was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries and later succumbed to those injuries.
Authorities confirmed that the driver of the truck, a 33-year-old man from Las Vegas, remained at the scene. He was arrested on DUI-related charges after displaying signs of impairment.
