MADISON (WKOW) — A pedestrian was injured Thursday morning in a crash near Toki Middle School and Orchard Ridge Elementary, according to the Madison Fire Department.

Authorities reported that a police unit and ambulance were dispatched to 5602 Russett Road at 8:30 a.m. The injured individual was transported to the hospital for treatment.

A spokesperson for the Madison Fire Department stated they were not aware if the injured person was a student.

This incident follows a tragic event earlier this month, when a high school student was struck and killed while crossing Park Street on his way to school.
