Fatal Accident on Pali Highway Claims Life of 16-Year-Old
PALI HIGHWAY, HI — A single-car accident on Pali Highway on Thursday morning has resulted in the death of a 16-year-old girl.
The crash occurred at approximately 7:15 a.m. near the Kailua exit, leading to extensive road closures. According to authorities, the vehicle was traveling at excessive speed when it lost control and collided with a guardrail.
Emergency services, including the HONOLULU FIRE DEPARTMENT and the HONOLULU POLICE DEPARTMENT, responded to the scene. Despite medical aid, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
One lane of the highway was closed for several hours as authorities conducted an investigation. No other vehicles were involved in the incident, and no other injuries were reported.
