PIKE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A single-vehicle UTV crash in Pike County on Friday evening resulted in the death of a 14-year-old.
According to Kentucky State Police, the incident occurred around 7:11 p.m. on an off-road trail near Pinsonfork Road. A 2021 Can-Am UTV overturned while carrying two juveniles.
The passenger, a 14-year-old, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Pike County Coroner's Office. The driver was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Authorities are actively investigating the crash. Further details regarding the circumstances of the incident have not yet been released.
