Lede: LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Nov. 5) — A plane crash near the Louisville Airport has left 13 dead and several injured, prompting legal action from affected families.
Two Kentucky law firms, Whiteford Taylor & Preston and Peterson Law, have filed a lawsuit against UPS and other involved parties. The firms represent several families of the injured and deceased, as well as Grade A Recycling and its employees, claiming damages related to the incident.
The legal team is led by Masten Childers III, Managing Partner of Whiteford's Kentucky offices, and Justin Peterson, Founding Partner of Peterson Law. Childers emphasized the tragic impact on both families and the Louisville community, stating, “We intend to pursue justice for those whose lives were forever changed that day.”
Peterson added, “Every family deserves to know the truth and to be represented by a legal team willing to fight for them when large corporations fail to uphold their duty of care.”
Ongoing investigations into the crash, conducted by local authorities, are in progress to determine the cause and any contributing factors. Emergency response teams provided medical aid at the scene and are assisting families affected by the tragedy.
