Crash on U.S. 36 in Superior Leaves Pedestrian Injured
Shooting occurred at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday on U.S. 36, between Boulder and Superior, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
A Mercury Mountaineer broke down in the center lane of westbound U.S. 36, prompting pedestrians to approach the vehicle. An oncoming Honda CR-V swerved to avoid the Mountaineer, veering onto the inside shoulder and striking a pedestrian.
Emergency crews transported the injured man to a hospital. His condition remains undisclosed, CSP officials stated.
Westbound U.S. 36 is closed in Superior due to the incident, with no estimated reopening time. Traffic is being diverted onto McCaslin Boulevard.
Authorities are asking witnesses who have not yet spoken to investigators to contact the State Patrol Dispatch at 303-239-4501, referencing case number 1D262443.
