ELIZABETH, W.Va. (WCHS) — West Virginia State Police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle rollover crash that occurred Sunday afternoon in Wirt County.
Steve Boggs, 59, of Grantsville was identified as the victim after his vehicle crashed on Route 5 near Chestnut Run. Authorities said the vehicle was traveling westbound when it veered off the roadway, struck a utility pole, and rolled over.
Emergency responders extricated Boggs from the wreckage and transported him to Camden Clark Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
