Delaware County, Ohio — Three people, including a 1-year-old, were killed Saturday in a nine-vehicle chain-reaction crash, authorities said.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a semi driver failed to slow for stopped traffic, triggering the collision that injured three others.
Muirfield Animal Hospital said veterinarian Lynnea Soposki was among those killed in the crash.
Authorities said Soposki's husband and their 1-year-old child also died.
Investigators identified the semi driver as 50-year-old Modou Ngom, who is charged with vehicular homicide and held in the Delaware County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
The Highway Patrol said nine vehicles were involved. Details on lane closures, medical transports, and tows were not immediately released.
