PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. (WKRC) – A police chase involving a U-Haul truck concluded with a crash after deputies executed a PIT maneuver on May 8.
According to the Paulding Sheriff's Office, the suspect, identified as 34-year-old Damian Jones, was driving recklessly within the jurisdiction when deputies initiated the pursuit.
During the chase, the U-Haul collided with a truck and other vehicles before deputies were able to halt the pursuit. The chase ended when a deputy performed a PIT maneuver, causing the U-Haul to roll onto its side in a church parking lot.
Jones was taken into custody, and authorities reported finding drugs inside the U-Haul. Specific charges against Jones have not been disclosed.
No injuries were reported among the public or deputies involved. Investigators remain on the scene, and the investigation is ongoing.
