KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS) — A two-vehicle crash on Interstate 79 South hospitalized two individuals Wednesday evening.
The incident occurred just before 7:25 p.m. at mile marker 4 in Elk Hills, according to Metro 911. Authorities reported that I-79 South was closed temporarily for over 30 minutes to facilitate the removal of the vehicles.
The Kanawha County Sheriff's Office confirmed that the interstate reopened shortly after 8 p.m. The Pinch Volunteer Fire Department and Kanawha County Emergency Ambulance Authority were also on the scene, aiding deputies.
