JEROME COUNTY, Idaho — Two individuals, including a child, were killed and another injured in a two-vehicle collision on US-93 Sunday morning.
The incident occurred shortly after 9 a.m. near milepost 58, east of Jerome. Authorities reported that a Ford F-150, driven by a 57-year-old man from Gooding, was traveling south on US-93 when an Isuzu Ascender, driven by a 57-year-old man from Jerome, failed to yield at a stop sign while turning onto the highway.
Both the driver of the Isuzu and his juvenile passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Ford was transported to a nearby hospital via ground ambulance, according to the Idaho State Police (ISP).
ISP confirmed that all occupants were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. The northbound lanes of US-93 remained closed for approximately two hours as a result of the incident.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, authorities stated.
