A two-year-old girl died after being struck by a vehicle in Chelsea, Mass., on Wednesday night.
CHELSEA, Mass. —
According to Chelsea Police, the incident occurred at approximately 9:50 p.m. on Bellingham Street. Emergency responders on the scene attempted CPR.
Authorities confirmed the child was transported to CHA Everett Hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
The driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, police said.
The cause of the collision is still undetermined, and the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office is handling the investigation.
