CAMPBELL COUNTY, Va. (WSET) — A tractor-trailer crash is affecting northbound Route 29 traffic after cargo was spilled on the roadway.
The incident occurred at approximately 2:41 p.m. near Wards Road and English Tavern Road in Campbell County. According to Virginia State Police, one tractor-trailer swerved to avoid another vehicle, resulting in a collision that scattered its load across the highway.
Trooper Austin Tosh stated that the cargo, primarily bottles, appeared to include numerous White Claw beverages. No injuries were reported, and officers encouraged motorists to find alternate routes during the cleanup.
Virginia State Police are currently investigating the accident, which is said to be complicated due to the mixed cargo types involved in the crash.
The roadway remains impacted as crews manage the scene and clear debris.
