JUPITER ISLAND, Fla. (WPEC) — Professional golfer Tiger Woods was arrested for DUI after a two-vehicle crash on Jupiter Island on Friday, March 27, 2026.
At approximately 2 p.m., the Jupiter Island Police Department responded to reports of a rollover crash near 281 South Beach Road. Upon their arrival, officers found Woods' Land Rover on its driver's side after colliding with a pickup truck pulling a pressure cleaner trailer.
According to Sheriff John Budenseik, the investigation indicated that Woods was impaired. The traffic incident occurred when the pickup truck, traveling northbound, was slowing to turn into a driveway. Witnesses reported that the Land Rover overtook the truck at high speed, striking its rear, which caused the rollover.
DUI investigators conducted roadside tests on Woods, leading to his arrest. He was taken to the Martin County Jail, where a breathalyzer test returned a clear result. However, Woods refused a urine test. He faces charges of DUI, property damage, and refusal to submit to a lawful test. Authorities confirmed that there were no injuries as a result of the collision.
Woods was seen leaving the Martin County Jail shortly after 11 p.m. on Friday. Previous incidents involving Woods include a notable rollover crash in February 2021, which resulted in serious injuries but was ruled accidental without impairment.
