YREKA, Calif. – A car accident on Oberlin Road on March 13, 2026, resulted in the death of an 18-year-old driver from Etna.
The driver was operating a blue 2009 Honda CRV when the vehicle veered off the roadway and collided with a tree, sustaining fatal injuries. A 16-year-old passenger was also in the vehicle and suffered minor to moderate injuries; they were transported to Fairchild Medical Center for treatment.
