SUV Crashes Into Nail Salon in Peabody, No Injuries Reported
PEABODY, MA — At approximately 9:52 a.m. on Tuesday, a vehicle crashed through the front windows of Starlight Hair & Nail Spa, with no injuries reported.
Surveillance footage shows the SUV smashing through two floor-to-ceiling windows, causing significant interior damage. The salon was empty at the time of the incident, and owner Ellen, who was in the back eating, reported relief at not being in the front area.
Ellen confirmed that the driver is a regular client who likely intended to visit for a pedicure. She expressed concern for the driver, stating, “I feel bad for my client.”
Emergency responders were alerted to the scene, and authorities are investigating the circumstances of the crash. NBC10 Boston has contacted local police to determine whether the driver will face any charges.
The salon sustained damage to furniture, including loveseats and couches, and the main entrance door was destroyed. Towing and cleanup efforts are underway, and partial lane closures may be expected as repairs begin.
