Semi-Truck Crash on I-70 Sends Traffic into a Jam Wednesday Afternoon
A semi-truck overturned Wednesday afternoon on Interstate 70, causing significant traffic delays.
The incident occurred at approximately 1:15 p.m. near the junction with James Road, affecting both eastbound and westbound lanes. According to initial reports, one semi-truck was involved in the crash; however, no other vehicles were confirmed to have been impacted.
Authorities said there were three individuals injured in the incident, with all injuries described as non-life-threatening. Emergency responders, including local police and fire departments, arrived on scene to assist and manage traffic. Medical aid was provided on-site before transporting the injured to nearby hospitals.
The overturned vehicle resulted in lane closures, with eastbound lanes blocked for several hours as crews worked to clear the crash site and tow the semi-truck. The left lanes of westbound I-70 were also affected during the response.
