MANCHESTER, N.H. — Two passengers were injured Tuesday following a plane crash at Plymouth Municipal Airport around 4 p.m.
According to officials, the incident necessitated a temporary closure of the airport as crews worked to remove the plane and transport it to a hangar. The injured passengers were taken to a local hospital and are expected to recover.
Witnesses reported seeing the damaged aircraft. Jim Blake, a local resident, noted emergency response vehicles at the scene, stating, “It was a little crunched. Not terrible, but it was beat up.” Another witness, Wesley Howlett, commented that the aircraft looked like it could be fixed.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is currently investigating the cause of the crash. This incident marks the third small plane crash in New Hampshire in recent weeks; the previous two occurred at the same airfield in Jaffrey and are also under FAA investigation.
