A pedestrian was struck and killed by a truck at a north Denver industrial yard early Thursday morning.
The incident occurred just before 5 a.m. in the 4700 block of East 50th Avenue, according to the Denver Police Department. The unidentified pedestrian was taken to a local hospital, where they were later pronounced dead.
Officials stated the driver was operating a jockey truck, typically used to move large trailers, and did not see the pedestrian in the yard. The driver faces charges of careless driving resulting in death.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
