LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A fatal multi-vehicle crash occurred at 1:49 p.m. on Wednesday, closing all lanes of northbound Valley View Boulevard after Desert Inn Road.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD), a Ford F-150 swerved from the left lane into the middle lane, prompting a Ram 1500 to veer right in an attempt to avoid a collision. The two vehicles' tires made contact, leading the Ram to crash into a Freightliner truck traveling in the right lane.
The Ram subsequently left the roadway and struck a pedestrian on the east sidewalk. Despite immediate medical attention, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at UMC Trauma.
Authorities confirmed that impairment is not suspected for any of the drivers involved. This incident marks the 133rd traffic-related fatality in the LVMPD jurisdiction for the year 2025.
The scene remains under investigation, with the RTC managing lane closures. Further details will be provided as they become available.
