Pedestrian Dies After DUI Crash in Las Vegas Intersection

Las Vegas Metro Police arrested 27-year-old Roberto Olivas on charges of and DUI following a crash investigation at Vegas Drive and Buffalo Drive. Police report that Olivas, driving a Ram 1500 truck, fled the scene of a at Rampart Boulevard and Vegas Drive, subsequently crashing into multiple objects, including a stop, and striking a 61-year-old man waiting at the bus stop. The pedestrian was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, while Olivas sustained minor injuries and showed signs of impairment.

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Two individuals are in critical condition after a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian and two vehicles near Vegas Drive and Buffalo Drive at approximately 2:24 p.m. Officials confirmed that emergency responders transported both the pedestrian and one vehicle occupant to local hospitals.
