Single-Vehicle Crash Claims Lives of Oregon Couple
OREGON, Wis. (WKOW) — Richard Wisden, 65, and Kim Wisden, 62, died in a single-vehicle crash on October 14, 2023, near Glenway Road and Bell Brook Road.
According to the Dane County Medical Examiner, both were pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency responders arrived but were unable to revive them.
Authorities reported that the vehicle went off the road under unclear circumstances, and an investigation is ongoing. No other vehicles were involved, and it is unknown if speed or weather factors contributed to the crash.
The Wisdens were known for their extensive community service, including roles as a crossing guard and a friendly face at JL Richard's restaurant. Friends and community members expressed their deep sorrow at the loss, highlighting the couple's kindness and commitment to helping others.
There were no reported injuries to other individuals, and the roadway was briefly closed during the investigation and cleanup.
