COLUMBUS, Ind. (WISH) — One person is dead following a collision between a truck and a passenger vehicle in Bartholomew County.
Authorities responded to the crash at the intersection of State Road 46 and North 675 West shortly after 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday. According to the Bartholomew County Sheriff's Office, the passenger car went down an embankment after the collision, resulting in the death of the driver.
The deceased driver's identity has not yet been released. The truck driver, an 18-year-old male from Columbus, reported pain in his hands and consented to a blood draw as part of the investigation.
The Bartholomew County Sheriff's Office stated that the investigation is ongoing.
