One Injured in Vehicle Crash with Utility Pole in Attleboro
ATTLEBORO, Mass. — A vehicle crashed into a utility pole on Handy Street near Doral Lane at approximately 1:42 p.m. on Tuesday, resulting in one injury, according to Attleboro fire officials.
Firefighters arrived on the scene to find a vehicle that had struck the utility pole, which had snapped at its base. Live electrical wires were reportedly draped across the roadway.
The driver exited the vehicle and was subsequently transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
National Grid responded to the incident to manage electrical hazards and conduct repairs. The scene was cleared by 2:33 p.m.
