OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — Drivers faced significant delays on Wednesday after a fatal crash on eastbound I-44 near Pennsylvania Ave.
Emergency services responded at approximately 7:00 a.m., confirming the involvement of multiple vehicles, which resulted in one fatality, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Eastbound traffic on I-44 is currently being diverted at May Ave. Authorities anticipate lane closures will remain through morning rush hour.
The Oklahoma Department of Transportation advises drivers to use the northbound Lake Hefner Parkway as a detour. Motorists are urged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
