Lede: A female motorcyclist died following a four-vehicle crash on Interstate 225 near Smith Road in Aurora on September 19, 2025.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene around 2:53 p.m. and transported the woman to a hospital, where she succumbed to life-threatening injuries shortly after arrival. Her identity has not yet been released.
The crash involved one motorcycle and three other vehicles. None of the occupants in the other vehicles sustained injuries.
Northbound lanes of Interstate 225 between Colfax Avenue and Interstate 70 were closed for over two hours but reopened at approximately 4:45 p.m., according to an Aurora Police Department post on X.com.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
